Using Ubicom's SX microcontroller, the BS2SX-IC has improved speed, larger program memory, and the second fastest serial I/O of all BASIC Stamp modules. Great solution for those needing more horsepower than a BS2-IC (2.5 times faster). The high speed coupled with the Scratch Pad RAM and EEPROM space make this an excellent choice for the most demanding applications. Because of the advanced features and capabilities, it's intended for customers with previous experience with the BASIC Stamp 2 module (BS2-IC).
